Ashley Fox, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, attended the D-Day commemoration events held in Bridgwater on Saturday 8th June. The day began with a solemn service in Kings Square, honouring the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought on D-Day.
The commemoration was followed by a D-Day celebration at Bridgwater Blake Museum, with a temporary exhibition by the Royal British Legion and war years music by vocalist Chrystal Bliss.
Reflecting on the day, Ashley Fox said, “It is an honour to be here today to commemorate the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the D-Day veterans. Their bravery ensured the freedoms we enjoy today, and it is our duty to remember and honour their legacy.”
The events highlighted the significance of D-Day and ensured that the memory of those who served continues to be honoured by future generations.
