Ashley Fox, Bridgwater Parliamentary Candidate, met with Tom King, former MP for Bridgwater from 1970 to 2001, to receive his support for the upcoming election.
Lord Tom King said, “I am delighted that Ashley has been selected as the Conservative candidate for Bridgwater at the next election. The new constituency includes Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge which I had the honour to represent from 1970-1983. It is interesting that 40 years later the boundary commission is moving the town back into the Bridgwater constituency.”
“It has never been more important that Parliament has Members of experience and proven ability. Ashley is an outstanding candidate, having previously served 10 years as Somerset’s Member of the European Parliament, is a solicitor, and has run his own small business. I have no doubt that he will be an excellent MP for Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge.”
